VMSC Corporation
was founded in 1988 by Vinay Mehta. Vinay had been the Software Development manager for
Open Systems when he noticed the growing demand for custom software development of the
Open Systems Accounting Software users. This, as well as a need in the market for
after-sales support of this customer base, prompted Vinay to create a company that was
poised to offer a solution to these users of Open Systems Accounting Software. Since then, the company has evolved - first, becoming a reseller of the accounting software and actively looking for customers for whom the software would work as a solution to their accounting needs, and then, to include the additional product lines added by Open Systems, as well as business application development (that are not necessarily accounting based), including Internet development. Our customer base has increased from the two customers that we started with to well over a hundred customers in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area. And since marking our presence firmly on the web in 1996, we have developed customer relationships across the United States.

About Vinay MehtaVinay Mehta has been in the computer software development industry for over 19 years. He started as a programmer/analyst in Johnson & Johnson in 1977, after getting a Masters in Math with a minor in Computer science. He then went to work for Control Data Corporation, and also worked for his M.B.A degree from the University of Minnesota. On obtaining that degree, Vinay went to work for Open Systems in 1984, and, after developing HARMONY's v2.0 software and upgrading OSAS to version 3.0, he left to start V.M.S.C. Corporation in 1988. Vinay's employment with Open Systems has positioned him uniquely to resell, consult, customize and deploy their entire extensive line of accounting solutions. John Zelazny, VP Sales
